/Welcome to our new website and listing for the Cottage at Powder Hill Farm in Boothbay Harbor, Maine.
Powder Hill Farm
Our historic farm is located in Boothbay Harbor which has long been considered by mariners to be the finest deep water port north of Boston with many calling it “The Boating Capital of New England”. Why did we choose Maine and Powder Hill Farms as a spot for our home and studio?
There is a great history of support for the arts in Maine. A recent discovery for us was Bernard Langlais who created more than 3,500 works of art at his 90 acre homestead in Cushing who said of his native Maine “I feel a sense of oneness with the state.” Bernard, aka Blackie, returned to Maine after forging a career in New York because this is where he found inspiration. And from this inspired environment he created an important body of work. This is what we hope to accomplish at Powder Hill Farms. To create a body of work that will be appreciated and connected to the place from which it was made.
If you are in Boothbay Harbor area we would love to give you a studio tour and show you what inspires us. Call us to schedule an appointment at 866-344-5267. We are usually in the studio Monday - Friday 10am-6pm. 378 Lakeside Dr, Boothbay Harbor, ME 04538.
